Programs

Support Meetings

• Meetings are quarterly and usually have a topic or speaker.
• The meetings are held at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in their conference room. They are held on a Saturday from 10am - noon.
• Child care is not provided.

Online Forums

• The Online Forums are now available for you to view and post information and comments. Autism Society members and persons interested learning more about autism from the parents and professionals that have or work with children with autism. In order to view or post information, you must register on the forums site (This Forum is for Autism Society Members Only). Click here for more information.

Parent Classes

• Parent classes are held yearly. these classes teach parents about the unique challenges in raising children with autism and Asperger's Syndrome. The classes are 2 hours each and run approximately 2 weeks.

Asperger’s Community Social Group

• The Autism Society of the Black Hills is excited to announce registration for our Asperger’s Community Social Group! This is a 6 week program, designed to help adolescents and young adults with Asperger’s and their parents improve on their community social skills and friendship skills. Parent’s will be involved by using the learned skills at home and in the community with their child.
